Dr. Lauren Towle, MD
Dr. Towle is a classically trained medical physician that utilizes a modern approach to healing and health potential. She views the body as having interconnected systems and searches for the root cause of your symptoms to help you get better. Instead of offering “bandaids”, she will make recommendations to help you heal for good as a partner in your wellness journey.
After becoming board certified in emergency medicine and practicing for over a decade, she began searching for ways to empower her patients before illness landed them in the emergency department.
Dr. Towle continues to pursue advanced clinical training through the world-renowned Institute for Functional Medicine, IFM. Born and raised with midwestern values, she was an undergraduate at the University of Illinois where she received a BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She attended medical school at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine where she was voted President of the Medical Student Body and awarded the John R Tobin leadership award for her medical school class. She was also heavily involved in clinical research through the STAR program and has extensive medical research experience. Dr. Towle attended the highly respected Presence-Resurrection Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Chicago Illinois where she received her residency training in emergency medicine.
After residency, Dr. Towle was voted by her physician peers as Advocate Condell Medical Center’s Rising Star Physician award in 2018. She currently serves her community and the greater midwest region as an attending emergency room physician. One of her many passions is education. To this end, she serves as clinical faculty at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois where she educates medical students, PA students, podiatry students and podiatry residents, internal medicine residents and psychiatry residents.
She resides in Lake Bluff with her husband, two children, dog, cat, and chickens.
