Please note that my office does not bill insurance directly. Payment can be made via credit card. If you wish, I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed medical receipt that includes procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and the fees charged for your visit. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement for out-of-network care, though I cannot guarantee any reimbursement. Please be aware that I do not handle insurance claims or communicate with insurance companies on your behalf; it is the patient's responsibility to submit claims.
Additionally, I do not participate with Medicare and do not bill Medicare for any services provided. As such, superbills cannot be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement.

When doctors participate with insurance carriers, they enter into contracts that often limit the services they can provide, leaving the insurance companies to dictate the level of care. Unfortunately, this arrangement can reduce the quality of care I believe you deserve. As the cost of running a clinic continues to rise, insurance reimbursement has declined, forcing most providers to see more patients in less time. This results in brief office visits that don’t allow for the personalized care needed in a functional or integrative approach.
For lab services, most routine tests provided by LabCorp can be billed directly to your insurance, unless you do not have out-of-network coverage. For patients without sufficient lab coverage, we have negotiated discounted, fixed rates with LabCorp for routine blood work. Many patients find these prices are lower than their insurance copay for the same tests. Additionally, this payment structure gives us the flexibility to order a more comprehensive set of labs without concern for coverage denials.
Please note that some specialty labs may not be covered by your insurance. I recommend checking with your insurance provider regarding coverage, deductibles, and reimbursement for out-of-network labs. It is the patient’s responsibility to understand their individual insurance benefits, as I am not able to manage your insurance coverage details.

My practice is for anyone who wants to take an active role in improving their health and well-being. Patients come to me with a wide range of health challenges and goals. I support individuals dealing with conditions such as IBS and other gut health issues, metabolic imbalances, weight gain or difficulty losing weight, hormone disruptions, thyroid disorders, depression, anxiety, and more. My approach focuses on healing from the inside out, often helping patients reduce or tailor back medications, in collaboration with their primary care physicians and specialists.
I also work with patients who are generally healthy but feel that something just isn’t right. Even if their lab results appear normal, they may struggle with symptoms like fatigue, insomnia, mood disorders, and brain fog. Using advanced diagnostic testing, we help uncover the underlying causes of these persistent issues to provide a path toward lasting improvement.

As part of my care model, you are required to have a primary care physician. Dr. Towle provides functional integrative medicine consultations only and does not serve as your primary care provider. Your primary care physician will be responsible for annual physicals, wellness visits, and any after-hours or urgent care needs. Please note that I do not handle urgent requests, including phone calls or messages, and recommend that you contact your primary care doctor for these matters.

My treatment approach centers on lifestyle interventions, emphasizing nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and relationship optimization. Based on your unique needs, I may recommend herbal remedies, nutraceuticals, or supplements to support your body’s healing process. Prescription medications may also be prescribed, depending on the severity of your condition and symptoms. This comprehensive, holistic approach integrates both Eastern and Western medicine, always aligned with your personal health goals and preferences, while ensuring safety and efficacy.
A strong, trusting relationship between patient and doctor is essential for successful healing. I prioritize cultivating this relationship, as mutual trust and respect are key to achieving lasting health and wellness.
